Its actually really really simple.
Read below to find out how everything here functions. This page is divided into two parts: How internal operations work and how the Careers section works.

COMMUNICATIONS
All pilots will be added to a Slack chat once they’ve applied and joined. A link will be sent out to them. How the Slack channel works will be explained on the platform itself. Also, emails will be sent out to pilots occasionally detailing on assigned flights, new updates, etc. Email address: [email protected]
For all important announcements, check our Slack channel or our IFC thread! We use our IFC thread for announcements as well as recruiting staff and pilots through PMs.

FLIGHT LOGS AND FLIGHT LOGGING ⭐️
Flight logs can be filed on any of the Careers section pages by clicking on the ‘File a pilot report’ button.
Each pilot will be assigned to fly a specific route at least once a week (but depends on the pilot’s available time too). When they’ve flown the flight, they will fill in a report which will contain:
The flight time will be used to see if the pilot will climb ranks or not while the additional info will be put onto their profiles. Perhaps take a screenshot of the above information for future reference. Each flight log will be worth one point, and points can be used to buy cars/houses on the ‘Spend points’ section. Pilots can also log flights that aren’t assigned, as long as they are part of our routes.

ASSIGNED FLIGHTS ⭐️
Flights will be assigned to pilots once every week on Monday, where they’ll either be departing from or to their chosen home base. They will be emailed the information regarding the flight by [email protected]. Assigned flights can also be seen on each profile, and must be completed before 1 week, otherwise pilots go inactive. Go to ‘Contact us’ or email that address if you have any issues.

PROFILES ⭐️
Profiles are individual pages for each pilot. This is where their rank, flight time, purchased virtual items and other info are displayed. It’s a great place to check out how you’re doing and overall performance! Pilots can have an inactive (⚠️), active (✅), or removed (❌) status displayed within their profile.
Additionally, each pilot gets their own Porter tag, which shows their role in the VA and join date. A star pilot (⭐️) is the best and most hardworking pilot on the VA. This little status will also be displayed on their profiles.

Simply hit the button with your name on it, and boom. You can check out how other people are doing, and perhaps race to see who becomes the ‘Porteran’ first.

POINTS ⭐️
Points are used as a currency here to buy cars, houses and apartments. Every flight log logged gives you points (depending on flight time), and your total points will be subtracted by the amount you spend on your purchase. For example, if you have 90 points and you used 10 points, there will be 80 points remaining.
Earning points works like this:
One flight log (1 hr + or below) = 1 point
One flight log (2 hr and above) = 2 points
Two flight logs (3 hr and above) = 6 points
Here are the rules to spending points in more detail:

- All pilots will have a standard apartment to live in at first (which is free), and can only buy ONE apartment or ONE house if they choose to. After that, you cannot move back to the standard apartment anymore
- You can have an unlimited amount of cars
- Purchase requests will be rejected if you don’t not have enough points or you don’t follow the rules
- Your current number of points will be subtracted by the number of points spent, and rental payment is paid per month (shown on image of purchased product on profile)
RANKS ⭐️
Remember, flight times are only the ones you fly with Porter. Your rank will be displayed next to your name in your profile.
